She’s also dedicated time to First Descents, a kayak camp for young adults with cancer paddling near Glacier National Park.
Prior to PA school, Nicole worked as a medical assistant where she gained valuable insight into the healthcare needs of our community and she looks forward to giving back as Blue Mountain Clinic’s newest PA.
Nicole is especially passionate about reproductive health, diabetes management, and preventive medicine for all shapes, sizes, ages, and genders! When she is not caring for her community, you’ll find her the Glacier Ice Rink, Snowbowl, or up Mount Sentinel with her pups.
Dr. Caitlin Blau
Dr. Caitlin Blau is a graduate of the Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana here in Missoula. She went to medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in the San Francisco Bay Area, and did her undergraduate studies at Fairhaven College at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA.

Dr. Banks has been an integral part of her training and she feels honored to be stepping into her role at Blue Mountain. Dr Blau is passionate about full-spectrum family medicine, particularly stigmatized care such as abortions, transgender medicine, substance use disorders, mental health, and chronic pain. She believes everyone deserves access to patient-centered care with transparent medical information and shared decision making.
From Dr Blau –
“I’m thrilled to be setting down roots in this beautiful state, and I can’t wait to start serving our local community. Come and chat with me about your health care needs!”

Alison Charman, ARNP
Alison Charman is an Adult Registered Nurse Practitioner with over 18 years of experience. In 1996, she received her masters of science in nursing at the University of Washington. Congruently working at Harbor View ER, she met her husband and they have 3 wonderful children. Alison began her Nurse Practitioner journey on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Browning, MT, before moving to Whitefish, where she lived and practiced for 13 years. Alison’s practice aligns itself with BMC’s mission of patient centered care. She will always do her best to make sure all questions and concerns are addressed during her patient visits. ( And did we mention she loves mountain biking and hockey?)!
