ABOUT BLUE MOUNTAIN CLINIC

Founded in 1977, Blue Mountain Clinic (BMC) is a mission-driven 501(c)3 non-profit which has been a trusted provider of comprehensive, patient-centered reproductive and primary healthcare services to the Missoula community and surrounding region for nearly five decades. As one of the first abortion clinics in the nation, BMC has remained at the forefront of reproductive justice, serving patients from across the state and neighboring regions—especially in the wake of the Dobbs decision. We are dedicated to providing evidence-based healthcare and to fiercely protecting bodily autonomy, access, and dignity for all people. We are a dedicated team of 20 full-time/part time staff members, including 2 advanced practice clinicians, one registered nurse, four medical assistants, and administrative staff.

JOB SUMMARY

Blue Mountain Clinic seeks to hire a Medical Director who is a practicing Family Medicine Physician or Complex Family Planning Physician to join our incredible team. The Medical Director is responsible for providing and ensuring the provision of high-quality healthcare services by Blue Mountain Clinic in alignment with our mission of providing comprehensive and evidence-based sexual and reproductive healthcare services in a compassionate and empowering environment to all persons who seek it. The Medical Director will supervise a clinical team of clinicians and medical assistants and will work closely with and report to the Executive Director.

We seek a compassionate physician to provide the full range of reproductive health care, including abortion, to lead our clinical team with strong management and supervision skills.

As a privately funded, independent health care clinic, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead, develop, and expand, a highly respected health care organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Location: Blue Mountain Clinic in Missoula, Montana

Schedule: This is a full-time exempt position.

Working conditions: Normal office and clinic environment.

Physical requirements: Manual dexterity to operate technology; stooping and bending; mobility to complete tasks and sit for extended periods of time, some physical exertion such as bending, lifting, and holding supplies weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires ability to speak and hear clearly for communication with clients, staff and community members.

COMPENSATION: $180,000 – $200,000 annually DOE
