Calling All Condom Artists!

It’s hard to believe that another year has gone by and it’s already time to start thinking about Off the Rack (OTR)! As you may already know, OTR was created as a forum to include healthy sexuality as part of our community dialogue, by combining humor and art to dismantle the barriers to a traditionally taboo topic. This year will not only be the 10th Annual Off the Rack but it also marks the 40th Anniversary of the clinic!

In order to commemorate these events, we are planning an extra special show which will be in the format of a variety show featuring dance, music, comedy and of course Condoms! As in the past, we hope that Off the Rack will inspire artists like yourself to create fashionable designs out of latex for the runway that express healthy sexuality beyond barriers, gender & stigma. In honor of the clinics anniversary, this year’s theme will be “Four Decades in the 406”.

Because of the ever increasing popularity of Off the Rack we will selecting a limited number of outfits to be featured on stage which will be selected by a panel of local artists. Finished pieces are due for show selection by March 1st, 2017. All submissions will be displayed at the event for viewing even if they are not selected for the show.

In addition to wearable art submissions, we will also be accepting a limited amount of performance pieces for the variety show. Performances should be no longer than 5 minutes. Please submit a video of your proposed act no later than February 24th. Selected acts will be notified by March 3rd, 2017.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Kristin Smith or Trinda Rieck. We look forward to celebrating this major milestone with you on April 1st, 2017 at The Missoula Community Theatre Center for the Performing Arts!
