OFF THE RACK 2011!

Mark your calendars for the fourth annual "Off The Rack" Fashion Show on February 5th, 2011 at the Wilma Theatre.

In 2008 Blue Mountain Clinic launched Off the Rack, a fashion show that stretches beyond the barriers of gender and stigma. Local artists again support the clinic but this time with outfits that represent a theme of healthy sexuality. Most outfits are made of condoms and other materials that fit the theme. Each February models wearing these creations take to the runway in the Wilma Theatre for the hottest fashion show in town. Off the Rack is Blue Mountain Clinic's signature fundraiser and benefits our programs.

 

 

Off the Rack 2010 - Smashing!

Off the Rack 2010 was another huge success. Thank you to all of our sponsors for their generous support of Blue Mountain Clinic and Off the Rack. Off the Rack is an annual fashion show event developed by Blue Mountain Clinic in 2008. Off the Rack seeks to confront the stigmas surrounding gender and sexuality through avant-garde fashion. Local artists generously donate their creativity to making the bras, dresses, suits, ties and other ensembles that make Off the Rack possible. How do these fashion items create dialogue about healthy sexuality? Many of the artwear items are made out of condoms and other alternative textile materials. By combining humor, art, and latex Off the Rack creates community conversation and a fashion show like no other.
