Blue Mountain Clinic is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors from the Missoula community.
We rely on income from health care services to sustain the organization and the care we provide. As a private clinic our income is not subsidized by governmental health programs so we also seek financial support from private contributions and foundation grants.
Since 1984 Blue Mountain Clinic has organized and sponsored the Blue Mountain All Women's Run as our annual major fund raising event. We use the money generated from this effort to support our mission and operations. During the years following the firebombing of the clinic in 1993, we received many major gifts that laid the groundwork for recreating the clinic. These gifts are the reason the clinic stands today.
Today's health care environment is challenging to any medical facility. A constant struggle exists between underinsured and economically disadvantaged people trying to access medical care, and the ever-increasing costs of providing care. The mission of Blue Mountain Clinic encompasses the need to keep our services open to Medicaid and Medicare recipients, who may not be seen at other practices. Providing abortion care is essential to our mission and is a barrier to many funding resources.
Please consider a cash donation to Blue Mountain Clinic today.
Your donation to help sustain a social justice model of health care is part of the solution in the future of health care for people, not profit. The economic gap in health care access is increasing. Please support the future of sustainable health care either through a general donation or allocate your gift to Blue Mountain Clinic's Access Fund to benefit women who do not have the resources to receive family planning or abortion care.
Thank you for your support.
