Blue Mountain All Women's Run 1996 Mary Beth Percival "Mountain Spirits"

The Blue Mountain Clinic Access Fund came about several years ago when we started to realize that many women were unable to obtain an abortion because they could not afford to pay for it.

Through this fund we grant women some of the money they need to pay for an abortion, or help with travel expenses such as gas and lodging. We rarely grant the entire cost of an abortion procedure. We also grant women money to help pay for birth control or other family planning services. We use the word grant here because we do not expect women to pay us back.

The access fund exists because of generous individual contributions. We try to stretch this limited fund as far as possible so we ask that those requesting money exhaust every other alternative before doing so. But we do not want to turn anyone away because they can't afford to pay for an abortion. There is no formal application process, we consider each person's situation individually and can usually provide some kind of help even if is only a small amount.

If you want more information, have questions about this fund or would like to talk to someone about the possibility of receiving a grant, call the clinic during regular business hours and we will connect you with someone who can help.
