We are committed to continuing to provide abortion care in this difficult time. We consider abortion, contraception, STI screening, and cervical cancer screening essential services. We are also committed to serving our patients with chronic disease and are working to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible.

While we are happy to see you in clinic should the need arise, we are also implementing telehealth visits for any patients who are practicing social distancing. Our Microsoft Teams video chat system has been up and running for a few days and seems to be working well. Please let us know if we can help you manage any concerns remotely, such as medication questions or mental health. You can download this for iOS here or Android here.

We are sad to say we cannot offer COVID-19 testing at this time. There are a few reasons for this. Our lab capacity is very small, and we do not have the right personal protective equipment for COVID-19 contact precautions. Due to our security needs, we are unable to create a separate entrance and screening area for patients with respiratory symptoms. We are committed to protecting the health of our staff and patients, in order to be able to continue to provide our essential reproductive health care services throughout the duration of the pandemic.

We are continuing to refer all patients with concerning respiratory symptoms to the focused screening center at Grant Creek Walk In Clinic – please call first (406) 327-1750. However, we recognize that this is a frightening time. If you have questions about your symptoms or whether you are a high risk patient for COVID-19 complications, please call us. Your primary care providers are happy to review your symptoms and medical history and help you make important health decisions.

We are in awe of the community organizing that is occurring in Missoula right now. Please consider supporting the Missoula Food Bank, the Red Cross, or your favorite small business that is being forced to close, like The Roxy Theater or the Missoula Art Museum.

Sending all of you love and (socially distant) hugs,

Your Blue Mountain Clinic Family Practice Team
