Joey Banks

Dr. Banks is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician and has been practicing for 12 years. After completing her medical training at the Alaska Family Medicine Residency, she went on to work for Alaska Native Health System, where she taught resident physicians and served as Alaska’s Planned Parenthood Director. In 2009, Joey and her family rounded out 3 years of life in Tanzania, where she had a bustling family practice. Her special interests in addition to family medicine are women’s health, newborn and pediatric care, preventative medicine, basic fertility care, tropical medical issues and reproductive care. Joey supports many forms of alternative medicine approaches to building a healthy life style. She can perform many procedures, such as IUD and Nexaplon insertions, colposcopy and abnormal pap smear treatment, early prenatal ultrasound dating, basic skin biopsy, joint injection, and much, much more! One of Dr. Bank’s many philosophies is that “Healing the whole family is my passion”.
